Tehran is the Capital of Isalmic Republic of Iran, with the population of approximately 12.000.000 .

Tehran is about 1200 meter above sea level. Situated on the Slop of the Alborz mountain, it covers about 1500 sq Km (579 sq Mile).

Historically the city of Tehran was elected to be the Capital of Tehran when Agha Mohammad Khan Ghajar decided to be near the Turkish area, should he need any assistance! Most of the palaces were built around17 to 20 centurary AD.
